sociOlogy Project
The socialization project was about how we have been socialized to believe and act in certain ways in our identity categories. In the end we had created essays, masks and a grand, multisensory, impactful exhibition.
REFLECTION:
In this project I grew as a writer in ways I was not expecting. I write a lot but usually I write stories so in this project I had to practice my ability to write informational and in TEA paragraphs. For example throughout my essay each paragraph was in TEA form in order to persuade or educate.
Throughout this project there were many takeaways that changed the way I see the world but in general a few stood out t me more than others. For me learning about the stories of feral children were very impactful because it made my brain wander. I was fascinated by the concept of unsocialized humans because it was so bizarre and mind boggling to me that who we are as humans is shaped and crafted by what's around us.
My goal as a group worker was to be effective to the project work so I could be a part of it success. Challenges in this goal is channeling my inner leader side but it turned out well because I was able to be both a leader and a friend/shoulder to lean on for my peers and classmates.
As a group member in the project managers I really contributed as a creative mind who helped focus on the aesthetics of the exhibition. My creative skills helped many groups when it came to designing and perfecting the look of each room. I would give my effort a 90/100. I worked hard most of the time with the exception of some bad says were I didn't give as much effort.
